The Study of Ethnography on Daily Life of Special Alcohol Treatment Ward

Abstract
The objective of this study is to comprehend daily life experience from the Special Alcohol Treatment Ward within the Chronic Mental Hospital. To accomplish this objective, the researcher approached the patients within the ward on their daily life ethnographically, through depth interviews and constant observations. The alcohol treatment ward targeted as the main object of study, was established separately from the Chronic Mental Hospital`s mental ward in order to treat alcohol patients. So a difference may exist from the Special Alcohol Treatment Ward ran by the hospital in the making of daily life culture. Hereupon, from June of 2010 until now, the alcoholic patients being treated in the ward were observed within the wide-range area of their daily life and gathered various data were analyzed through the depth interviews of the patients being treated for alcohol and the individuals treating them through the ethnographical approach. The result of the research was analyzed as Organization, Relationship, Space and Principle as the four dimensions. And on the basis of these researched content, the Social Welfare`s policy, practice was added.
